What is Surface Tulle?

Surface tulle is the fabrics used in GRP production to prevent the appearance of glass fibers formed on the surface, to increase the smoothness of the surface and to create a layer resistant to chemical interventions. CTP; means plastic with a glass layer. It was developed to meet the needs of the composite industry. Another name for surface tulle is cortel and it is produced from glass fiber or synthetic fiber. Although it is used for a visually better result, it minimizes the shrinkage on the surface and has low porosity. Porosity refers to the porosity of a surface. In addition, it provides an additional protection to the surface and increases the durability of the surface. Kortel is a polyester fabric, which is a non-woven fabric type. It is rich in resin. In addition, epoxy or vinylester resins can be used. Cortel fiber, which is chemically harmless, also takes shape easily in the mold and provides an easy way to obtain a good image. Cortel fiber is produced from glass fiber or synthetic fiber according to its usage areas. Glass fiber, which has a fluffy structure, is a type of fiber used in clothes and various fabrics, which can be turned into yarn with heat insulation and sound barrier properties. Cortel fiber is a type of fiber used with resin or gelcoat and used for smooth surface formations. It can be used with little intervention by using spray up and RTM methods. It can be used alone or with other reinforcing fibers and optimizes price performance.
